Your business needs a website. Here's why...

It's crazy the amount of businesses I come across on a daily basis that do not have a website. Almost 2 million SME's in the UK have launched and are doing business without having an online presence. Firstly, if you're one of those people and are working hard every day to keep your head above the water, I applaud and admire you, but did you know that having a website could increase your company's revenue by almost £200k per year? Now I don't know about you, but if someone asked me if I could swap say £800 (Average cost of a website with Infinite) for £200k I would undoubtedly say yes, wouldn't you?

So why is having a website so important, and how is it going to increase your sales? No matter what you're selling whether a service or a product, you absolutely need a online presence. I can't tell you how many times I have searched a specific business on google to find no website for the company. You know what I do after that? I click on someone else's page. Your competition. The company who are doing or selling almost exactly what you offer and I use them instead. In 2018 the population no longer want to search several platforms for information or contact details. They want to search your business and find you right away, and if they can't you're missing out.

Your website is your 24/7 receptionist. It is there to feed your clients information, pricing, details about you and your products/services and will act as a buffer between the times that you cannot be in contact with the client. No one want's to wait hours or days for a response to a simple question, they want to be able to find the information immediately. Your website is your clients information platform. A place where they can learn about you, your services, products, opening times, FAQs, address, contact details and more.

Another important reason to have a website is to show your credibility. It's almost 2019, if your business doesn't have a website, the perception potential clients will have of you is shady. This goes for businesses who have bad quality websites too. Your site should represent your brand and business perfectly, and look professional to your clients.

Last but not least, your website acts as your very own personal marketing platform. A place to showcase every aspect of your company, showing off what you do and how you stand out from your competitors. Not only can you use it to tell your clients about new or upcoming offers, deals and discounts you can use it to collect important details to re-market to new clients. This can be done with google analytics tools and data collection forms, adding new email addresses to your marketing lists every time someone enquires.

Subnote: When I say website, I mean www.yourbusinessname.com NOT www.facebook.com/yourbusinessname. Facebook is ad additional platform, not your website.
